I'm giving it 4 stars because it does the job with my brand new HP F4400. I left one star off because I had to completely ignore the user manual to make this work.br /For everyone having problems here's a true solution. br /br /DO NOT install the CD that comes with the devicebr /br /Plug the IOGear Device in to your Router and power it on. Followed by powering on the printer.br /br /Access your routers connected device list and look for the device by name or MAC address.br /br /Write down the IP that was assigned and if your router allows, reserve the IP for its MAC.br /br /In Windows (Of any flavor, even Windows 7) install the normal Printer Driver (Windows 7 already had my driver so I did nothing)br /br /Now go to the ADD PRINTER Wizardbr /br /Choose "ADD A LOCAL PRINTER"br /br /Choose "CREATE A NEW PORT" and "STANDARD TCP/IP PORT"br /br /For Hostname or IP Address enter the assigned IP address of the IOGear device from above.br /br /Next screen for Device type choose "Generic Network Card"br /br /Now find your Printer Driver and follow the rest of the Wizard. br /br /Print test page!

  • IOGear USB 2.0 Print Server GPSU21 - Print server - Hi-Speed USB
pIOGEAR's palm sized 1-port USB 2.0 Print Server allows any networked computer to share an USB printer. It complies with USB 2.0 specifications (backward compatible with USB 1.1 spec.), and provides users with an auto-sensing Ethernet port that works with either 10Base-T or 100Base-T networks. This unit also supports multiple protocols and multiple operating systems, and it integrates Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) in this print server to allow users to print from any computer over a LAN/WAN or the Internet by specifying the device URL. The built-in web management feature provides more convenience by allowing the user to configure, monitor and even reset the print server via a web browser. This eliminates the need to place the printer right next to the computer. Print jobs can be sent to a printer in another country just as easily as to a printer in the same office. Why bother sending a degraded fax image while you can print an original at the destination?/ppbMain Features/blibManufacturer/b: IOGEAR, InclibManufacturer Part Number/b: GPSU21libManufacturer Website Address/b: www.iogear.comlibInterfaces/Ports/b: 1 x RJ-45 10/100Base-TX Auto-sensing Network, 1 x USB 2.0 PrinterlibData Transfer Rate/b: 10Mbps Ethernet , 100Mbps Fast Ethernet libForm Factor/b: ExternallibDimensions/b: 1" Height x 2.4" Width x 2.5" DepthlibWeight/b: 1.12 lb libStandard Warranty/b: 3 Year(s) Limited/p

GPSU21 saved my day - rickwms -
After buying a new computer with Windows 7 on it I couldn't print to my older HP Laserjet 1320 on the network. I spent 2 days trying every setting I could think of trying to get it to print. I hooked the printer to different computers and no luck. After installing the Iogear GPSU21 to the printer I was back in business in less than 5 minutes. Normally I wouldn't write something but I saw so many other people having the same problem as I did.

Excellent Print server - Ronald J. Labellarte -
I bought this product because my printer is not Windows 7 compatible when shared over a home network. My printer, other than being incompatible is great, this enabled me to have my great printer, and windows 7. It configured quickly and works seamlessly. Great product.
